You can own the SECOND production Challenger, just bid!

What a deal! :D

Well, you get alot more than just the car.

If you read the auction carefully, you'll notice the following:
2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8
Engine: 6.1L HEMI V8
Transmission: 5-speed Automatic with Autostick

....hmmm, I guess they're confirming some info then. ;)

$78,500? That's over 3x what it's worth! ;)

its up over 80,000 now:eek: i guess they can say ,i got the 2nd one ever produced.
If I wasn't waiting for the camaro I could jump on that #2 chally. Did you notice that the cars will start rolling out of the factory in april or may??? Nice head start, wish the camaro could come out earlier than may.

The Challenger gets almost 8 months to a year head start on the Camaro.
If you read the small print, it's not the 2nd one produced. It's the 2nd one made for sale. Which could be like the 8th one produced or so.

Should fetch a good price for sure - that would be quite a car to own

That has always been how things go. Forever the car above will be known as #2 :D
$85100 and you have to be a pre qualified Dodge dealer to bid.

Wow at least its for charity.
Automatic - Not that it'll be driven. probably be a museum piece all its life.
Based on numbers you see from Barrett Jackson cars, I'm not suprised

For the haters, wait until there are similar auctions for a new Camaro and you'll be all for it
From what I understand Dodge is auctioning the first 2 off and donating the money to charity. Also from what I understand the #2 car can only be purchased by a dealer on ebay. For #1 I think anyone can bid on it at the Barrett Jackson auction.
+1

Charity auctions with the Camaro in coupe and the convertible will bring big numbers.

The Challenger is as big of a deal to the Dodge guys as the Camaro is to the Chevy guys. The first GT500 sold to the public was auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson for $648,000. So let that be a lesson to not sell on E-Bay
GM did the same thing with a few custom SSRs and they fetched quite a bid of $$
in the Viper???
