You can also use the soft side of velcro, just stick a small piece on the inside of the hook to protect the paint.

Is this the setup you do? What fiberglass bike rack do you use?

Nope..I have a metal one I used for years, gave up using it, because it started to cause problems, scratching paint mainly,
Orion make's one's that are awesome, theirs also a new brand I seen a girl use, that is made out of carbon-fiber,
I use to ride my mountain bike for years, not so much any more :facepalm:

Which Hollywood Bike rack did you get? Did you get the expedition? How did you get the side straps to go underneath the rear spoiler to attach to the sides of the trunk?

I know this is old, but do you still have the car/bike rack. I'm looking into purchasing a 2011 convertible Camaro and need to know what exactly will work to transport my bike. On the Hollywood website it said "excludes convertible."
