Looks like perhaps the official name is ZR1, according to Motor Trend's blog:

Nice! I like the ZR-1 better than the Z07 and several of the other names. In all honestly they could name it creampuff and it wouldn't matter all the other exotics will just call it gone. :rotflmao:.

I noticed in the article they mentioned a new quad cam V8 debut in 09. Im going on a witch hunt if that "modular crap" touches a camaro. I dealt will it in mustangs, I dont want it again. LS3 for the last time.

As for the vette Im glad it has the ZR-1 nameplate or....SS.

On a serious note, I'm starting to think that the 'Vette might be my first (and quite possibly last) supercar. Z06's bang-for-buck ratio is virtually unbeatable, really.

The atom has a tiny little Honda engine in it. I was hoping it would have some huge V8 that would make it all uber-fast. Sure it's light, but pfff. Put a solstice GXP engine in it..now that would give it some balls.
