I have been thinking of this for a long time now and I believe that I am ready to take the plunge and do a couple of things to my Camaro. Right now everything on it , is stock. I have been doing some research and have had a couple of guys mention Borla Exhaust to me. I told them that I like the deep sound and I was hoping that I could get that with the Borla Exhaust . A good example

I know that this is more exspensive then the Flowmaster but I figure for the price that I should be able to get what I am looking for out of it.

Anyone have them or know of anyone that has them and if you / they are happy with their purchase ????

Borla is a nice quality system, and if you get the system with the adjustable plates, you can change the noise level to you liking.
Not cheap by any means, but they're done nicely and you'll love it.
Plus you'll pick up some power.

Flowmaster is nice sounding and made decently out of cheaper materials.
Real nice sounding exhaust, but they flow horribly and you won't gain any power.
In fact you might lose power with Flowmaster, hence their nickname "Chokemaster".

I know Corsa makes an awesome sounding system for the GTO. I like the finish and the sound.

I have a Stainless Works exhaust currently on my car. It sounds great but it is not as 'flashy' as other systems.

Edit: check out several manufacturer's sites and listen to clips.

Their delta flow is a REAL good flowing system.

I would be suprised if ANY FLow system has taken power from a combination, now maybe if it was mismatched, but othewise I call BS.

I have a lot to relearn about these cars. You can change the sound by adjusting plates on a Borla? OMG. That is great. With Hondas it's all a game of who makes the best sounding exhaust. No adjustment, you can only pray that you don't sound like an angry swarm of bees in a can.

One more thing I'm excited about now. :D A good exhaust is my first mod planned.

For exhaust sounds I'd suggest Ls1sounds.com. You can hear just about anycombination possible there. The only Flowcrappers that dont flow well from everything I've seen is the cross flow Fbody ones. Single ones flow well though. I know mine flow well as there is nothing in there but a single V. But then again I have True Duals and one chambers :roxor: its plenty deep, but if you have noise restrictions its also illegal.

I love my Borla. It was one of the first things I did to my car. I think they even make a system now where instead of the plates, there is an electric baffle. So you push a switch to adjust the sound instead of changing the plats.

My car is a 99 and the system is still like new.
