Bumblebee Hood

Here's the deal, just got done watching Transformers 2.. pretty awesome movie. If someone would make the Bumblebee hood for the Camaro that was in that movie, I think I would give them a signed check and tell them to fill in whatever number they thought was fair. That thing is AWESOME. If they make a Z28, I guarantee that's what it'll look like. Wow

I told my wife the same thing. She said thats fine, but on the way home from the dealership, I would need to stop by the lawyers office to pick up the divorce paperwork! LOL

hot off the camaro5 homepage..........

"Certain GM officials attending Carlisle Nationals this weekend held a Q&A session during which they fielded questions regarding, among other topics, a new Camaro Z28. Although nothing earth shattering was announced regarding the Camaro Z28, their answers (and actions) left little doubt that there will be a Camaro Z28 edition.

Between winks to the audience, Scott Settlemire, Cheryl Pilcher, John Fitzpatrick, Al Oppenheiser and John Cox shared the following Z28 info:

– As we previously reported, the Z28 hood will be as seen on the 2nd gen Bumblebee Camaro.
– It will receive a different grill treatment, albeit with a Chevy bowtie emblem.
– It will probably have a different rear special.
– It will have Z28 emblems and/or graphics.
– It will have a high output LS? engine (so long as it meets gov. fuel standards).
– Camaro Convertible will be available in spring of 2011, and the Z28 will follow sometime after.

And finally, although no one came out and proclaimed that the Z28 will for sure be made, what was said was for everyone to enjoy this car (the current lineup) as it is now and we’ll see what happens later (as Scott winks to the audience )"

So then will the body kit work and hood fit on the ss? Cuz I want it bad
yota it would be cheaper for you to just trade in your SS for a Z28..
its more than just a kit its the hood and total new front end..basically the BB you have in your avatar..

Well luckly I don't have one yet. Is the z28 going to be slower though and have a smaller engine? If so then I want the ss with the coloring of bumblebee. Can we get those really thin mirrors from the concept they show in the movie though? Even in the 1st transformers it had the thin mirrors
is the ZR1 slower than the Z06??? ;)

there is your answer.. :D
Any specs for the Z28 engine? Are they going to drop the vette's Zo6 motor? or they could put a 427 in it...

theres really no specs yet just speculation... and the Z06 engine is a 427

Hell no it isn't but I always thought the z28 was the slower of the two cars. That has always been common knowledge, well at least common to me. What is the engine supposed to be and how much is that camaro supposed to be.
common knowledge for who? When the SS was not around in the mid 70's to the reintroduction in the late 90's what was the top Camaro? The Z28...and that didnt mean the Z28 was the slower one. The Z28 was a race version of the Camaro..that was its purpose that evolved into something more..

and as explained..this new Z28..we have no idea yet...we can speculate..and might have some answers somewhere but no concrete proof of what the Z28 is actually going to be.
Well as I stated I always thought of the z28 as the slower camaro than the ss. They ran high 13's when the ss would fun low 13's. I don't mean to contradict you by any means I am just still learning about modern muscle. Well even when you look back in the 60's and late 90's-2002 and such the z28 had a lower powered motor than the ss. If the new z28 ever comes out and has more power by the time I am able to get one well hell I want one of those then.

to get back on topic...............i saw the movie last night, awesome!

and if the BumbleBee edition coming out has that body package in that exact color but 2SS instead of Z28...............i may have to forgo waiting to see if they do a Z28.

The Z28 was a little less HP back in the day..but it made up for that with less weight..it was a bare bones nothing package..so a 50HP varience over a Z28 and an SS..well the SS might of carried 200 LBS more..it would keep that gap close..so yea a Z28 and SS might go head to head and whoever the driver was would be the factor..but when it came to racetrack..the reason why there is Z28..the nthe SS would be left in the starting line..

modern...paper numbers my friend..the LS powered Fbodies were way underrated in HP..they both were close to 340-350HP..There was no change in them performance wise. Just GM stating more HP from one than the other..
