good morning all.. ok, just bought my Camaro last week and its a 2010 2SS/RS 6 Speed LS3 with a Hurst Shifter.. TMI is better than NEI (not enough info)..

the car has every single option you could put on the car and only has 5,900 miles on it.. the gent that i bought it from had a CAI and exhaust put on it and the car sounds very very healthy..

no for my question.. the CAI on the car is a "halltech" with a "K&N" filter.. this is the only link i could find to tell me more about it Halltech Yellow Jacket™ Camaro CAI +14.2 RWHP/10lbs-ft

if anyone out here knows more about this system as far as PROS/CONS i'd love to hear about it.. thanks all and happy modding...

The only negative thing I've heard is that you shouldn't try to tighten the clamps on the tube when it is hot or the tube may collapse. If it's already in, and seems to fit right, I'd say you're good to go. There is a lot of happy people with that intake, and it seems to perform fairly well.

yup.. the unit was already in the car when i bought it.. and all is good in there.. the clamps are definitely not over tightened cause there is no collapse in the air bridge.. there is just the right amount of play for the little bit of give needed for those joyous moments of WOT.. I've never heard of halltech, but then again my last toy was an SRT8.. this is my first Chevy since my '96 Camaro SS 16yrs ago.. i will say it sounds killer along with the exhaust the guy put on it.. and has hella power.. I've obviously never driven the car without those two mods so i have no basis for comparison but man is it a powerful car. and the sound turns heads everywhere..

thanks for the reply..
