Well after failing in trying to acquire a tune to adjust my speedo (changed form the 2.73 to 4.10 gears) so I could get a baseline run after the rearend/stall/intake/headers install I decided to go ahead and install the rest of it and just get the whole thing dynotuned at once. Started and finished the cam/timing set/and LS6 ported oil pump already. hopefully will finish it all up tomorrow or Monday and then start saving for the tune! Forgot to take pics of the teardown did manage to remember to click one before I reinstalled the TT.chain cover and waterpump.

Well so far not so good. Put it all back together and started it to make sure the cam install was complete before moving on to the rest. Well I now have to repull the front because the oil pressure is petty low. It will hold 40PSI at 2k but if you drop it below that it goes down to about 10. rev it back to 2k and it jumps back to 40 real quickly but definately pinched the oil pump O ring. Not only the bad pressure but the oil was quite frothy. Didn't even drive it just held it there to see if it would eventually rise. It didn't even hot. And I didn't have a torque Wrench available so I just tightened it until it stopped and went 1/4 turn. Drivetrain is loud as sin. I know it will be much louder than stock but I doubt it is supposed to be this loud its faintly audible standing behind the car with the RPM's at 2k with my headers/TD's/Flowmaster 1 chambers. Going to straighten it out before I go further. Boy the exhaust note is sweet as hell and the sucker will spin very quickly (never brought it over 2500 though to be on the safe side).

Woot got the O ring replaced and holds 50 PSI at 600 idle hot and will go to around 70 under some pedal! Broke it in and heat cycled it a couple times (not necessary but wanted to be safe) and put some miles on it so far. It sounds sooooooo much better now :roxor: . With a LSA of 114 I expected a little lope but enough to be able to hide a cam. Wrong big time. It's got a big one and sounds like it. Oh well puts a grin on my face everytime I mash the pedal. Next stop fuel pump, harness, injectors, and will be ready for the go Juice :D .

Heres a few video's of her. She still needs to be tuned. It does not like going from high rpms to idle and its a PITA to drive around town but oh so fun at the same time. Can't wait to spin it to about 6500 and not be cutting off at 77. The 2 runs were both to the factory 118 MPH (77 actual since gear change) top speed limiter. And had to take off while already rolling or else it would have just spun.

TSP's Magic stick 3 http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=170&catid=44. Got mine on a 114 LSA for better use with Nitrous and the cam card that came with it actually says 238/242 and .605/.612 Lift. All in all I hope mid 11's on motor and mid 10's on spray. Probably going to have to get the stall redone to about 4k but we'll see how this acts first. It's all comming together quite nicely. I have the Fuel pump out should have the racetronix put back in Monday then taking it to get a DS loop and set the pinion angle set up. And payday its off for the dyno tune. I don't expect to see anything over 380/390 RWHP due to the loose stall and the 9" but I don't rely on those numbers its what she gets down the track that impress me. I've seen the MS3 Cam only bolt on cars dyno above 400 RWHP in the neighborhood of 425 but as long as my N/A timeslips reads in the 11's (driven to the track of course) I'll be content with this temporary setup. 427 CI magnacharged LS3 derrivitive shall reside in there hopefully by this time next year.

I also have the MS3 in mine. I see you have 4.11 gears. I have 3.73 and when I first put the cam in it seemed like I lost bottom end over the 231/237 TSP cam I had when I had my 3500 stall in it. I changed to a 4400 stall and it made a huge differnce. I am sure your 4.11 gears will help with that though. The top end is great though. Mine on the dyno was still pulling at 7K and I shift at the track at around 6300 until I get something to replace this 4L60e. So far best 60ft has been 1.47 Your gonna love it and I am sure you'll meet your goals. I got in the 11's with the TSP 231-237 cam only with 3.23 gears so you should be in at least mid 11's with the MS3 and 4.11's. good luck with your new setup.

I went from stock cam to this one and the stall and gear so I never noticed any bottom end loss. I can tell it really starts to pull at 5k though. 1st Gear on street tires is usless even with full suspension. Hopefully I'll be able to hook it with the DR's. Hell I can put in second gear and nail it from a dead stop and it will just roast the tires and that is untuned. I got my trans built so I'm going to spin it up some more. Probably have it shifting at 6500 or so. I don't expect the trans to last but I already sank the money into it so I'm going to hammer it till it goes, then a beefed up 4L80E or maybe the 6L60e if it prooves stout enough. What did you dyno at with the setup you had?

Mine dynoed at if I remember correctly 395rwhp thru a 12 bolt and it was still pulling. This was with a stock intake and throttle body and TSP TD with spiral flows and 5.3 stg.2.5 heads. Aslo at the time I was having a few issues with KR. I plan to get it back to the dyno when I get it back togather. It will have
!ps electric WP and a Fast 90/90 combo and the spiral flows strait off the headers. I hope to get to around 420rwhp+ but we'll see.

What intake exhaust are you running?edit: nevermind I see you already said that. Are you doing heads?

Probably not on this engine. When the wallet cools after this round I am probably going to get a 427 stroker unless I find a really really good deal but with 147K miles I really don't expect this motor to hold out too much longer without a rebuild.

Your really going to be moving with that 427. I blew mine with cam only and spray. It lasted 1 season spraying 1 or 2 times a weak and racing a lot. It finally lost 2 rods on a n2o pass. It was still running with 2 broke rods. It tore the block apart with those broke rods spinning around. I replaced it with a LME shortblock 347 forged piston/rod and put heads on and dropped the n2o. No problems so far after 2 seasons or running hard.

Ouch! I wont be racing all the time as I never have that much time as it is. Hopefully it will last 6-8 months though. I know with my motor being a little looser it will be a little easier on spray as some of the pressure will bleed off (in theory).
