Motor Trend is reporting that Camaro 6 Production will begin in October of 2015, meaning we're likely in for a spring 2016 launch..

As we've previously reported, the next-gen 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is expected to move from the current GM Australia-sourced Zeta platform to the new Alpha platform that underpins the Cadillac ATS and CTS. Of course, V-8 engines are likely to return, but a turbocharged 2.0-liter I-4 borrowed from the ATS and tuned to rival the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost's 310 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque may also be in the cards. We hear that Camaro production will begin in October 2015 at the Lansing Grand River plant.

Great information.
With that production date it helps with knowing what to expect in the near future. Do you think we may see the Camaro in full at some auto show at the end of this year or the beginning of next year? Or could it be much closer to when production starts?

Cant wait for the 2016 to come out. Christopher really wants a 5th gen so I believe the used prices will drop when the 6th gen come out....But maybe I will get a 6th gen and he will get the 5th gen...

Used prices will go up slightly if they keep the new one under wraps longer.
THEN, if the 2016 is ugly, the used prices will go up s'more. AND STAY THERE for a while. Start shopping now and be prepared to pounce once real pictures are published.

^depends on who you talk to, some adore the new IRS (well the idea of it) while some of the more straight line oriented individuals are quite upset the solid rear is gone.
