I thought it was just wrong. Marketing or not, you have to admit that GM's own marketing dept hasn't done much to help GM in a long time. If loaning out the cars for the making of a "B" video is the best they can do then someone needs to show the marketing staff the door.

GM's Marketing has picked up steadily in recent years IMO.

That was smart of gm. If the new camaro can become part of the rap industry like the old muclecars than sales will be good. Look at what gm has with the escalade, that car was made on the fact that it is "gansta" and lets not forget the hummer. Those are both poplular from bieng in gangsta rap videos. This is a great way to get public awarness.

It is a pretty smart move. Look what the rap industry has done for the Denali and the Escalade. Two of the most popular trends for cars these days come from the rap industry, big rims and big systems.

GM needs alot more than to sponsor rap videos. Try something a little more main stream. I think they need people with jobs and a good credit rating to buy their cars. A teenager - 25ish adult often has bills stacked up high from starting a family, buying a house, college bills, etc.

Sure, young people will want one, but can they afford it? I used to work 2 or three jobs when I was young to afford my cars. I didn't have time to watch rap.

If you notice it seemed like nobody was allowed to touch the car, very indicative of a rental!
