Hi. I am buying my first Camaro ever and I wanna go for the RS convertible. I have never owned a vert before. It is gonna be my daily drive too.

I am a bit worried about issues with the vert's top. I live in Doha, Qatar (the Middle East) and it is exteremly hot and humid for most of the year with dust all around for most of the year. Winter months are the best with some heavy rain sometimes.

This means my car will take a lot of car wash (mostly for pressurized water hoses) on weekly basis (if no dust storms hit). So, in a nutshell, I am concerend about water leaking from top to inside the car, bad looking top or problems with top being up for 6-9 months of the year. Please tell me about your experience, guys.

I am one that hasn't had any problems with my top and mines an 2011. Knock on wood! The newer ones had all issues fixed. So your good. But a convert in a place like that might not be a good idea anyways. Something about a lot of sand and a convert don't sound right lol. Good luck

Get what ya want, the 2013 verts have had no issues reported, theres been a few 11's N' 12's that have had a few issues, but if you get yo vert in the area your going to be driving it,
you might check w/your dealer.. see if they can put you at ease :D

Welcome to MC please don't forget to post on our new members thread so we can give you a worm welcome to our family !

I hope you get your vert, if/once you do please don't forget to post on our vert color N' count thread too

Check with your dealer and see what are the normal times for repair parts to arrive from whereever they have to get them from. I know this is not something you want to worry about. But since I have been stationed over seas some times it makes a diffrence if you can not afford to be with out your car. Also see if anyone in your area has one already. If they do then mostlikely that dealer sold it to them. Since you are where you are there can't be too many GM dealers. What is the price they are asking for them over there. Best of luck keep us posted.

I wouldn't worry about it. Get one. You'll be fine.

I bought mind on 4/11/12 and is my first convertible and I love it. Since I'm retired I'm trying to keep the mileage low and yes I do have a half ass garage to keep it in. Just missing a door. Michael in Virginia PS What ever problems they have had with these convertibles I understood was mostly in 2011 cars. It did not bother me when I bought my 45th Anniversary Convertible RS .
