Wow! That's awesome!

The news from the article is interesting. I'd like to know if their "sources" are good.

"a popular model using a 3.6L V6, a V8 powered Z28 making about 400 horsepower and a yet-to-be-named range-topping model that could have over 500 horsepower. Look for a convertible version to bow after the coupe as a 2010 model."

I don't know about that. The LS2 made the 400 hp and we know those are gone. There will have to be a V-8 that makes in between 300-350ish hp for those that don't want all that power (400-500hp) like my dad for instance. He said 400 is too much for him. He would be happy with something in the low 3's or high 2's. If not, he's going to have to get a V6.

I expect a V6 in the Low 300 range I don't expect a V8 option under 375HP

Cadillac CTS has 2 versions of the 3.6L V6
The normal SFI 3.6 at 263hp, and the DI 3.6 at 304hp

There are many power levels of each one.
Depending on what vehicle it's in the SFI 3.6 can range from 250hp to 280hp, and the DI 3.6 starts at 300hp and goes up from there (currently 304hp is the highest rating so far).

Quite a few actually but the bad boy V6 is the 3.9L 300 HP. The one available in the CTS Cadi
The DI V6 is 3.6l. The same size as the non DI one. :p

And who is to say the 400hp V8 isn't a direct-injected 6.0l? :D

Ya know, I'm not totally sure the V6 won't make 300 HP....

Would make an interesting lineup no?

290-300+ HP V6
400+ HP Z28 V8
500+ HP SS V8

Ahh one can only hope....

Exactly what I am hoping for as well. It's logical. Let's hope GM thinks so, too.
