I've got this weird thing about certain colors and how they apply to specific vehicles.

For instance, I have this dilemma that all SS vehicles from the 60's and 70's should be red, but SS vehicles 80's to present should be black.

Now, Z-cars (Z28, Z06, Z34, etc), I feel that bright red is the correct color.

Let's take a gander at other makes. Dodge, for instance - I have this thing that SRT vehicles are associated with black, whereas R/T models would be red.

Ford SVT vehicles - red. Their sporty models (like Mustang GT or SHO) would be black.

Pontiac. The top models (GXP, WS6) should be black. The GT range should be white.

Does anyone else have this odd color-complex?

I was a red only corvette guy. I have grown. The SS2 will be Rally Red, so maybe not too much.:lol::lol:

DS:

I feel that way about certain engines in cars.

For some reason whenever I think about the LS1, I want it to be in a RED car.

When we talk about the LS2, I always picture it in a BLUE Car (I've seen a lot of BLUE LS2 GTOs, now it's sort of stuck in my head that LS2s are BLUE).

Now since we are all talking about the LS3, I always picture it in an yellow/orange car (Like that bronze orange color on the vettes).

I think all tuner cars (regardless of make/model) should be either white, gray/silver, or black with black wheels and smoked headlights and taillights!

I think all Gen III Camaros with T-TOPS should be black (TTOPS ruin the flow of the car IMO, with black, you can't see them too much).

I am the same way... it has a lot to do with the popular color of cars that were common on the road or that I saw many photos of when I was a kid... old VW Beetles should be red, BMWs should be slate blue while Mercedes should be silver, 60's Corvettes should be red, British sports cars should be dark green. Having said all of that there is only one true color for any car and that is BLACK! :)

:eek:Wow, I can honestly say I have never considered the color concept issue. I guess I am more in the mind that if it looks good..cool..however I do completely agree with "I am certainly quite odd"....:lol::D

I think the only color phobia I have is all 94-96 Impala SS's and SY/TY's should be black.
