I hope its a hit, but I have a very strong feeling that, due to the car being rushed into production 10 years ahead of schedule, the car will be a flop.

There was a post on here a while back about the Volt being rushed into production to help with CAFE and that GM was going to do 10 years of battery R&D in 2 months so that the Volt could rollout in 2009.

What do you mean rushed 10 years ahead of schedule? They were always planning on bringing it out in atleast 2011.

I'd always heard that they were going to take there time and get the battery R&D done before putting it into production. I seem to remember a post on here a wile back about them squeezing 10 years of R&D into 6-18 months so they could have the car ready for rollout in 2010. But, I could have miss read it. Need to get more sleep and less homework done each night.
