The Firing Squad Kills:

Magnum- wagons are not cool, no matter how big the engine is. Plus it sounds like a condom

Crossfire- Its name is how it dies. Its styling was too much for a car that was so slow. Srt-6 didnt even fix that.

Pacifica- Hey, lets make a crossover platform early and have Celine Dion do the opening commercial. *flop* This car died when everyone else hopped onto the crossover bandwagon and did it 10 times better.

PT Cruiser vert- Well, of course. The PT cruiser appeals to the older consumer; so why make a two door vert. Its consumers have no interest in losing there hairpieces, or destroying the carefully placed comb-over when the top is down. Plus, the two doors isnt making it any easier to haul the grandkids around.

Not to mention these cars are overpriced to begin with. The only thing that surprises me is, the fact more cars havent received the axe. I would expect this cars in the coming years:

-Challenger
-Alpine
-Caliber

The Magnums did get a good front end. And I liked them, to be honest. One of the few Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicles I DO like. Same with the Crossfire, sure it has a tiny engine, sure it has horrid gas mileage, sure it is made in Germany, sure it has an ungodly pricetag. But it looks cool!

Wagons are cool because so many people have the same opinion as you. :roxor: Most people just can't handle the fact that a wagon just beat them and looks better.

Thats my opionion and your entitled to it.:D

As an owner of a Magnum I'd say it is your opinion. Everyone that sees my car falls in love with it. I think it's a bada$$ looking car and unique which is why I bought it. It came down to the Charger and the Mag and I ended up with the wagon.

The front end is very aggressive looking. They did make a change in 08 to the front but it is fugly imho. The only 08 Magnum's that look good are the SRT's because of the hood like the Charger SRT8.

I was honestly torn between trading in my Magnum, for an SRT8 or an 09 Camaro. But now that they are getting rid of the Magnum, Chrysler/Dodge lost me as a customer.

The main problem with the Magnum was the lack of advertising. How many commercials did you see the Magnum in? I can only think of one.

USA1..they may get them to market fast...but they normally suck(when compared to other things in the market/coming to market). Which is why I would rather GM take their time, because their stuff is FAR superior. When you rush things, they aren't nearly as good.

The Magnum was one of the few Dodge vehicles I would ever actually CONSIDER buying, and now that it is gone, that's one less Dodge I'd ever think about.

OH, I agree about the quality. I'll probably never own a Dodge. By the time the consumers get wise they shut down that design and bring out something else. If every auto designer/ coporate manager was always looking forward, the design changes come without delay and deliver better quality and value for the consumer and revenue for the company.

OR by the time they make it not-suck it's already too late and consumers aren't buying it anymore. Like the Magnum, the new front end is nice, but it's too little too late. Plus they just cost so **** much D:.

Well, i will admit to that. Its because so many people have the same opinion as me. While I could give a **** about how many doors it has or if its a hatch or not; the only way that I would be caught dead in one is if a wagon was converted into a hearse. Now that I think of it I would roll in a wagon if it was made into a badass hearse. The ol' will need an update. lol.

Oh, and I thought the Magnums got a new front end this year?

First time I noticed the new nose on the Magnum, sublte update at a glance, but it still needed the Charger front end IMO :D

I think wagons are on the way back and Dodge was ahead of the curve with the Magnum.

Overhaulin put a 300 front end on one...That was pretty cool. The guy that donated the 300 front end though I think got ripped since he got the Magnum front end.
LOL

DCX actually produced that version for export sales. I've seen a few driving around here, it looked much better than the domestic

The 300 front looks so much better. IMO

WTF is the deal with the US getting the bland version of a model and the world gets the best? It seems all auto manufacturers do it.

Will Chrysler carry some of the German engineering/ styling from their past partners because of cars that were in the pipeline at the time?
