Hey wanted to know what products do you guys recommend to use to
Clean under the hood?? Or if you take it somewhere to be clean how much does it cost you?? (Give or take??) thanks alot!!

I just use Turtle Wax Ice Quick Detailer and a microfiber towel.

Hit it once a week and your engine bay will stay clean.

Nope.

Any of the items that make things shiny attract dust like a magnet.

Just look at any interior surface that has ArmorAll or some other protectant on it or the engine bay treated with the dressing the dealerships use. The dust sticks to it.

I prefer the natural look under the hood and on my interior surfaces. Just spritz a little on the rag for the interior and spray directly on engine cover and other things under the hood.

Tires are a different matter. Depends on what mood I'm in whether I want them shiny or all natural.

It does attract dust but its easy to wipe down, After the armor all.. I've used it and still do. I like how it leaves the black plastics clean with a new look. I just wipe it the next couple of times without armor all like with a clean towel , looks new again. Also some people use way to much lol. And this is for engine bay. Int. different stuff.

I usually take my cars to a car wash that does it and as soon as I get it back I drive it one the freeway for about a couple hours to get the engine hot and dry everything well. Besides that taking ones pony out for a spin now and then is just good sense. It clears up alloot of problems.

I know why yours is so clean Tim. I have witnessed you whip out that tiny detailing brush to go over every part of the engine :lol:

And what is so difficult in cleaning the engine compartment, because now there are steam cleaners that are safe for the motor and wiring can do this job? Read the excellent article Car steam cleaning process | What is car steam clean? about steam clean for car . I like steam cleaning because if you have a steam cleaner you can clean the car inside and out, cleaning wheels and tires is also no problem. Steam cleaners are easy to use.
