im having trouble when its getting down to agout 30 degrees.
its delaying starter engangement, dome light flickers and takes a few seconds to come on and is dim.
battery is full charge and fuses are good.

has anyone had this problem and what to fix it?

prob #2.
after the car is completely warmed up to operation temp i noticed that my voltage gauge start to slowly drow when in slow traffic. and if i turn on the defrost the voltage gauge will fall to no charge (the white line just above the red) and will dim that whole car lights. although if i have a cold car it will no have a problem.

your alt is good, all have that problem, Gm produced 4 or 5 technical service bullentens saying not to replace the alternator when this condition presents itself (mine does the same)normal operation, as long as the voltage goes back up when the engine speed climbs.

as for the other problem, dont know. trace your wiring, check for any shorts and check your voltage at the bulb

Yea Alt problems are definately norm mine did it since I got it.

As far as the cold goes mine gets problematic in the cold as well will turn over but wont start sometimes as well. I so far haven't found any problems. What I did find interesting tho is on the cold days get in and turn key to on for a few seconds turn off then start. Don't know what that does but it always works for me.
