Good lord, I have to do nearly 25+ in the left in order to keep people from stacking up behind me here in Indiana.

Every state has a law against this. Its in every drivers' manual in all states (left lane is passing only, if you're not moving past the slower traffic on the right then you're doing something illegal), its just that its not enforced and I think its ridiculous. I do a lot of long highway drives to go see my girlfriend and it is definitely the thing that annoys me the most.

Really, because my state wasn't even listed in that article and it most defnitely is in the drivers' manual here. Well if not, that really sucks. Not like anyone follows it here anyways.

Edit: Sorry I guess you're right, I reread the artical and they did list a couple of states that weren't. It just seems like common sense to me........but being a government employee, I do understand that common sense doesn't always make its way into stuff like this.

I hate left lane hangers. Slower traffic stay right. Midwest drivers are usually good about being courteous.

Ohio is terrible about it. You will get someone going 64.5 miles per hour trying to pass a convoy of 10 tractor trailers. 10 miles down the road you finally get past the guilty driver to get behind the next bottleneck and then repeat all the way across the state.

In jersey in July a state trooper caught me on I-80 with the radar at 86 and said he paced me at 81, and was going also charge me with "cruising in the left lane", but he reduced all charges to just "careless driving" even though I was probably the most attentive driver on that road. And the thing was I actually wasnt cruising in the left lane, I was passing a truck and he just saw me in the left land and switch into the middle once he pulled out

When I lived in Schaumburg, IL, if you weren't doing 75+ in the fast lane it was a good chance that someone would get in behind you, immediately start flashing their lights to let you know that they wanted you out of their way.

Now on the Park Way, I've been traveling 90 miles per hour and have tractor trailers and Kentucky State Troopers pass me. This is no joke. If 90 mph is the slow lane I'm happy.
Yep, gotta love that flow of traffic.
I've been up to 80+ mph in a long line of cars before, including cops.
It was horrible riding with my father down to Gatlinburg.
He refused to go 5mph over the speedlimit..so we were getting passed like mad and holding up traffic.
Now..when I drove..I went with the flow of traffic..and he bitched at me for going too fast and that I'm going to get a ticket.
Not when you're going with the flow of traffic.
NOT going could end up in a Obstruction of Traffic ticket. :p
