Hello everyone. I was considering buying a 2010 Camaro. I have found a couple of different ones that I am interested in. One has a p1sc with work also done to the motor and the other has a twin turbo set up with work done to the motor as well. Mostly pushrods, valve springs, cam, and tune. My real question is, does it make the car become high maintenance or is it pretty much the same as anything else? More than likely it will be a daily driver. Thanks in advance for any input. I have noticed a lot of people like to play and make jokes on this forum and that is fine, it keeps it interesting but I could use some serious thoughts as well because this is something I am looking to move on soon.

There is some added maintenance on some SC units. They require their fluid be changed every so often. Some as little as 5k. The one you mentioned is one of these. Some, like a Magnuson are what they call "lifetime" or 100,000 miles in reality. I guess they don't think someone will drive it more than that?

Turbos usually just add complexity but are harder on the engine oil as it is used to lubricate them and they get HOT! Depending on where the turbos are mounted they can lead to heat stress failures of other components etc.

As with all power adders, they take their toll on other components that haven't been upgraded to survive at those higher power levels...

It has a lot to do with how you drive it.

Thanks for the insight. It is not something I would really be racing or taking to the track. I just want it to have it I guess. I have only put 3 sets of tires on my 02 SS and I am not even 1/3 of the way through the 3rd set yet. It has 200,000 miles on the original motor and trans. About the only thing I have really had to change is the alt. I drive fast but I don't dog it. Anyway, how about as far as driving one as a daily driver and does driving one in wet weather have any adverse affects on the mods?
