Chevrolet's muscular showcar does the family proud

As an automotive stylist, designing a Chevrolet Camaro, even a concept Camaro, defines your career. You will either be hailed as the genius who advanced the legend, or blamed as the idiot who screwed up an icon. There's no middle ground.

"I was kind of glad I didn't know how strong of an icon the Camaro was when I was first working on the project," admits Camaro concept chief designer Sangyup Lee. He then scowls at the thought of choking under the pressure of Camaro crazies criticizing his work. MORE

I never noticed this before

It has a gas-cap design just like the 68-70 Dodge Charger, very cool touch.

And interesting that this car's chief designer was a Korean, who would've thought?

I like the cap and that was a good article.

If that gas cap design makes it into production, they'll at least have to design it so it doesn't become a water trap. That was one of the biggest problems with the old Mopar design - looked ultra cool but when the car got wet, water would always collect around that area - not a good thing.
