Auto-cross!!! Already have my plates on my Vette ready to be transferred over. If you've never tried it, you should. Once you do, you're hooked.

I will race some drag, but usually only from stop lights when ricers think they got game.

Maybe show off at stoplights and the occasional 1/4 mile track. Haven't drag raced on a track in 14 years, guess i can wait 2 more.
We will leave those mustang drivers lookin like this:eek:when they are left behind at the light

Not too much drag racing (not enough fun to compensate for wear and tear on the engine), but plenty of spirited driving, AutoX, and track days with other folks.

And yes, any idiots who have the "American cars suck" attitude (like I used to), shall be taught a lesson.

Mild Drag racing.
I want to have a DD, but I want this car to eventually run low 11s in a sleeper form. A roll cage isnt a problem for me so, street duty and comfort wont be a problem either.
As for drivetrain mods I guess it would be:

-Textralia clutch - OZ700
-One piece aluminum driveshaft
-Stronger axles (only if the stock ones break or are proven by other to easily break)

I doubt running 11s on DRs and street tires will require the need a tranny and IRS rebuild. I could be wrong, as I dont know the limitations of the stock equipment. Plus I never launch a car with slack in the drivetrain, which I believe is the leading cause of mild street cars drivetrain failure. I limit my racing to the track, so everyday wear and tear isnt increased from a habit of indangering innocent lives in stoplight pissing contest.

Under New Mexico statute 66-8-115 : Racing on Highways, its illegal and worth a good 6 points on the the ol' license. I rather not contribute to a streotype or statistic with insurance or the law. Plus I seen what happens when its clear, it goes from clear to not clear very fast; little kids racing bicycles down a sidewalk that isnt in view, the other guy gets to serious and loses control of his car, and my favorite, the undercover cop with the local police departments street racing task force (in NC, they use the fast impounded cars from drug dealers).

There is no 100% safe street racing, because there isnt even 100% safe track racing. Kill stories are only good when a timeslip can prove it, without a timeslip the kill story is ricer fodder.

I don't do "kill stories". "Kill stories" are stupid as hell even with a timeslip. When a light goes green I hit the gas until I hit the speedlimit then let off.
Last I checked, in Kentucky, there's no law against accelerating.

Point stands. Illegal. Go to the track.
As for KY, their prolly isnt a law for accelerating, but im sure they have a law for display of speed, reckless driving, speed comp (even when alone), and etc. I have family that drive and Im not going to trust someone that will do that, no matter how un-severe.

Illegal to accelerate? Dunno what kind of weird state of dementia you're in.
The law tells you how fast you can go, but in KY doesn't dictate how you can get to said speed.

"Weird state of dementia", well Im driving like a normal human being on public roads, so my state of mind is fine. Tracks are made for reason.

Actually, "Reckless Driving" is so vague in the law, that it's basically a tool for cops to give you a ticket if they don't like the way you drive. You can try to beat it in court, but chances are slim.

I almost got a wreckless driving ticket when my tires spinned a bit after my final day at Kroger..but I was friends with the cop..so he just chewed me out a bit.
Around here, as long as you aren't really endangering anyone or squealing tires..they don't really care.
