I just found some pics of the G8 and I think they are console mounted, don't know what that means for the Camaro though. I will have those pics up later.

It DOES kind of make sense..if the car is a manual. You can lower and raise the windows with your shifting hand while not taking your other hand off the wheel. But with an auto it seems to be rather inconvenient.

Door mount, please! Someone set up a poll for this.

I like the concept of the console mount, but it's such a waste of space. I'd rather have some nice cupholders, or a cellphone holder, or something like that.

I'm so used to door and didn't like mine in my old camaro on the console. phone holder would be nice. I like the way they did the E brake on the console in the g8.

I miss the large amount of flat space on my Oldsmobile..it didn't have any cupholders (only in the door of the glovebox). And the hand brake was right next to the passenger seat..and you had a nice flat spot inbetween the handbrake and your chair. Great place to put a cup while you're driving around.

Flame suit on........I vote for center console.....I liked them there in my '91. It was an auto and they were right at your fingertips when resting on the console lid. They just seemed more ergonomic......plus, this would only require wiring to one location instead of 2......not a big deal, but all that wiring can add up over 150,000 cars.....plus, if this module is already in stock, that may push it to other models as well.

The G8 has window switches on the console because it is actually a Holden Commodre. Holden customers have always had window switches on the console and they prefer them there.

I don't think a car designed for the US would ever end up with window switches in the console anymore... You guys just cant live without your stupidly oversized cup holders!! :p

Hey, SOMETHING has to hold my half-gallon cup from KFC!

Those actually exist..I got one on accident before (they screwed up my order and I didn't have time to fool with them).
