Hey,

Just a reminder that they will be drawing for the 3 Bumblebee look alike cars on 1/30. A few days after that, I'll be posting about my winnings

Seriously though, be on the look out for the winning email.

Just my luck I won't win it. But if I did I wouldn't be able to drive it cause I just got hit while on a run by a drunk driver. Can't drive, work, walk. Just got my taxes done and am set for awhile with my retirement cash in and tax refund. But still, I am loseing my downpayment right now because some kid wanted to get f****d up and try to drive home. So just more of my crappy luck I won't win. The worst thing is I wanted to reenlist in the MC and now may never be able to.

I hope Luwinkle wins and can get the DI v6 that he wants so bad!

I doubt the bumblebee cars will have the DI V6. :p

I'm surprised you aren't going after legal action with the kid.

I wonder when delivery will be? I also wonder what fiscal year you'll have to pay the taxes on the car? Production starts in October right? So if you win the car in Jan 08, but don't take delivery until Jan 09, which fiscal year do the taxes fall on?

I also wonder: When winning something like this, do they use the contest rules to determine the taxes charged (i.e. the contest gives a value of the car at $40,000) or does it get appraised or reassessed in some way?

Doesn't matter to me, it will still be way cheaper in the long run. Let's put it this way. If I when (ya, funny, I know), my downpayment I've started sayving for now will turn into a tax payment. So either way, I'll be ok.

I reckon the tax payment on $40K will be $13K. Any bank will give you a loan on the car to cover that amount since there would be so much collateral. My question is, though, do you pay taxes on the estimated value, or do you have to have the car appraised for an actual assessed value. This would be a collector car, and it's assessed value would likely exceed $40K.

I'll give everyone who wants a ride when I pick mine up. And I'd much rather pay taxes, than purchase price AND taxes. :D

So the drawing has come & passed - when do we find out who the other 2 besides myself are that won? :D
I'm asuming they've lost my phone number and are dialing every number combonation to find me. If you watch Family Guy, that would seem somewhat funny.
