I was wondering if anyone is running these without aftermarket headers? I put flowmaster 40 series mufflers on my car but not real impressed with it so im thinking of putting some cutouts on so i can have the deep throaty noise when I want it and the nice quiet noise when im traveling. Any suggestions?

I'm sure you can get them installed with the stock manifolds. I have 1 electric cutout in my 99 WS6, it has the stock manifolds and it sounds good. Not as good as the LS3...(probably because they are true duals and I'm running 2 cutouts). Very Very Very happy with the sound with my 10' SS though! With them open....you loose torque....but gain power....so it doesn't feel as powerful....but it's great when you can either close them...or open them from a switch. Best of both worlds

I'm also running factory exhaust (minus the kooks headers and high low cats) so I can have it quiet as well.

Ok thanks! Does headers void the warranty?
Yes...they void part of your warranty. But I'd rather have the sound than a warranty any day.

Here's a video clip of the difference the cut-outs make on my V6. I have the Flowmasters, JBA SS Short Headers and an Airaid CAI in addition to the Race Ready Performance cut-outs...and the sound really rocks for a 6. :D

I have QTP cutouts w/ a digital read out controller. The controller show the percentage open for each side of the exhaust. I can adjust them from 10% to completely open 100%. I am running the cutouts on a factory exhaust system w/ no other mods to it.

I would not want anything any louder, when the cutouts are all the way open the car is pretty loud. I like the fact that I can close them when I want. Like when a cop is sitting next to you, or when you are trying to talk to people at a drive up window, etc. When taking a long trip the exhaust drone gets old so I usually will close them.

I would love to have one of the digital rea out controllers....but I can't seem to find it on their website anymore. Is it even still available?

been there, done that and never do it again.

had them on my 300c with LTs and Hi-flow cats.

They leaked, i.e. they came open on their own while driving and rattled all to hell, the motors over headed and froze open and that netted me a nasty ticket, which resulted in my car being refereed because of the LT's and Cat-back, cost me $600 in fines and another $500 to have the car put back to stock to sign off the CHP ticket so I could register the car.

I have electrical cut-outs on my V6 but I have headers too. I have heard cut-outs on a V6 and V8 with the stock manifolds and throaty is NOT the word I would use for the sound.
IMO...cut-outs or deletes without headers = loud but not in a good way. [URL="

Your 2013 V6 has a different engine than the earlier V6's did. My 2010 V6 Camaro has the LLT motor...so I was able to remove the manifolds and replace them with aftermarket headers. But your Camaro has the newer LFX motor and Chevy redesigned it with the manifolds molded onto the engine...so unfortunately they cannot be removed or replaced with headers. And this is why you cannot find any headers for your specific year model/engine design.
