I hate it when people link to articles like this.

I usually end up reading the comments at the end just to reminded how ignorant the average person is about the current crop of vehicles.

At least this time one person actually defended the Corvette for being decent on fuel use.
Bingo! I was thinking about how ignorant the average journalist (not associated with the automotive industry) is almost everytime something automotive comes up.

I remember reading one article on MSN where a journalist was griping about how inefficient vehicles are today compared to how they were in the 70's and 80's.
He was quoting EPA ratings.....which defeats the purpose. Since 50mpg in the 80's isn't all that good today..even with the vehicle getting 60hp.

I was amused at his thought that diesel---"a technology used in Europe"---was *gasp* COMING SOON TO AMERICA! WOOHOO!:party:What would we stupid Americans do without those brilliant Euros to lead the way? :confused:For crying out loud, the jerk that wrote this article really has no automotive intelligence whatsoever. Its really quite sad. I did like Lutz's quote about still selling steaks when "everyone" was becoming a vegetarian! Bob Lutz is THE MAN!:patriot:
