Is it true that the engine of the new camaro will run on 4 cyl when just at cruzing speed that would be grate if so. but is it reliable . or will it just be ....... . another thing to go wrong with the car that will caust an arm and a leg to fix when it goes out.:confused::confused::confused:

It's a very real possibility that the Camaros engine(s) will have AFM (Active Fuel Management - formerly known as Displacement on Demand).

The operation of AFM is seamless, when you're driving you don't even notice it, and it doesn't even effect the exhaust sound cuz when you want it to sound good (at idle, or at medium to high throttle), all 8 cylinders are on

AFM has been extremely reliable for the 3-4 years that it's been on the road in production cars already.
