what do you think? cheap and free flowing. only single outlet but who cares.
I dont think the 3" system will be enough with the magnacharger.

Check out Mufflex. They use a spintech muffler IIRC. It sounds great and my buddy ran it on his IROC for quite a long time.

do they have a 3.5 or 4" system?
There is a spintech on a GTO on youtube, sounds great.

EDIT: Found it

I checked them out, no third gen systems over 3" :(

hawks has a few systems, but they are expensive! I think ill have a 3 into 3.5 y pipe, then follow up with a 3.5" exhaust or 3 into 4 and a 4" system, which ever I can find,

They've got a 3.5" and a 4" -- that's all they make.

That's just the catback, and it even sounds good. There is a video with a full exhaust GTO (red) with Spin Tech and it's nasty. I posted it in Mucker's thread about his catback.
hmmm, i was looking at a different site, sweet!
Jmo but I dont think you would need anything bigger than 3in.Is your motor stock?I would say basically stock with a blower,3in is fine.

a 3" single pipe on a blown ls1, no, I dont think 3" is enough....
np bro, just been around hot rods and racing for about 10 yrs but no worries.Dont always go by 8 post count and an L03.Things arent always what they seem.

a single 3" would be good for a built up third gen tpi or a stock ls1, but not one making 500+hp a single 3" is like 2, 1.5" pipes.
ok didnt know your ls1 isnt stock with a blower, thats a different story.Ive seen stock Ls1s with blowers run fine on 3in single exhaust all day long, didnt know your ls1 isnt stock.I honestly still think you are on the verge of being too big running over 3 inch.Is your ls1 stroked.Heads and cam also? How much boost?

ls1's dont come stock with blowers...the ls9 is the only factory supercharged lsx engine. An ls1 with a blower could run fine with a small pipe, but it would run better with a little bit larger one. the motor is stock 5.7 but will have a cam, headers, a smaller blower pulley, bigger injectors etc.

try this out...

looking at this calculator, I would need at least a 3.5" exhaust to handle 500-525
Yeah I know they dont come stock with a blower.I was asking if your Ls1 was stock and you just added the blower.
Ive been working for chevrolet for about 10 yrs, same dealership,my dad has worked for this same dealership for 30 yrs.Im pretty versed on the GM powerplants.

yea, stock bottom end, ive got a blower cam for it, springs, radix mp112 maggie, 90mm jtube......did you check out that site? 3" is pretty small for 500+hp
You notice,in the horsepower guide,he says rough estimate.I still think 3 in will be plenty big,3.5 at the VERY most. But thats just my opinion bro.You know what they say about opinions, they are like a**holes, everybody's got one.Good luck in whatever you decide.Hope it works out.All I can say is you should have put a L03 in it:) Best motor from GM yet!!!!!!!!! LOL jk

NOT funny!!! hahaha, ill probably go with 3.5 should be good.
On the mufflex site, they suggest 3.5 for up to 400hp.

My friend ran a 4" on his 355 superram IROC for several years and had no problem making over 400rwtq and a linear powerband.
