Hi, I installed the magnafloww stanles steel axle without muffler, and when I cruise on 160 km or higher, a noisy sound comes & goes, I checked with the dealer, and they said its from the fuel pump, and it sounds normal.

But I dont think this is right, any help in this subject?

thanks guys.;)

without mufflers, I don't think you'd be able to hear your fuel pump:rolleyes::lol:. It could be a lot of things...heat shield rattle, the pipes hitting the tunnel brace or just the fact that a muffler delete is noisy. Without hearing it, it's kinda hard to tell. I'm surprised your dealer didn't just blame your aftermarket exhaust.

yes...of course, could be drone. Does it happen around 1800rpm when you're cruising on the highway?

If your car is an A6 it might be AFM or Drone like Power Freak said.

As mentioned, its most likely a resonance formed at certain rpms (drone). You can get this on an M6 or A6 with a more aggressive exhaust setup, but the problem can be compounded on a A6 with the addition of AFM kicking in and out.
