You can get LT's for around the same price. Shorty's might help a little, but the numbers won't be close to what you'll gain with LT's. For the price tag on them, I'd leave the stock manifolds.

After pulling the stock minifolds off the 02 LS1, I've always thought of the stock manifolds as the next closests thing to shortie headers. I can't see where shorties on an LSX motor would benefit.

Skip it for the Longtubes. The flow on the stock LS3 manifolds are pretty good I don't imagine picking up much more with those especially with the prices.

Ya was thinking of going shorties to keep it legal but who's lookin anyway do LT's come oxygen sensor fottings or Do uhave to bypass? This will be my first time putting headers on anything newer then a 73'
