The new global family of Ford compacts goes on sale later this year in Europe and Asia, but the North American market won’t get the Verve until 2010.

Ford shafts America yet again.
First..not offering a Focus Vert....then canning the plans to bring the Falcon to the US..and now this? And planning on making the version America gets, WHEN IT GETS IT, 4 door only?

It's still pretty ignorant to give America the shaft.
All you need is one badass car to change things around. Look at GM with the Malibu..they didn't put it overseas first, they brought it here..and they can't keep the things on the lots.
