Ford sees market for small van:

Ford Motor Co. is expected to reveal a small delivery van for the United States at the Chicago auto show. The Transit Connect is slated to go on sale in 2009.

Reminds me of a small version of the Dodge Sprinter, which was a Mercedes van. Definetely looks European.
its looks like they stole the healights off a Fusion and raped the European Fors Division's parts bin. I can tell its strictly utility.

It would probably sell as much as the Sprinter van Dodge has. It wouldn't be a large market, but I could see local delivery companies using it. There are a couple of local carriers that use Xb's now.
It will prolly be only available via the commercial division of ford, like the E-series, Crown vic, and barebones F-series without beds.
