The lack of knowledge base will show up soon. I's hard to pick peoples' brains for all the items they know until they are called to use them. I noticed they will try to gather all they can but that will hardly be enough.
When I train people where I work, I could never show them all they need to know until the equipment acts in a certain manner or supplier or operations non-conformace issues arise. Some job experience is required.
