If for some reason the gas tank fuel fill has to be relocated how dissapointed would you be? What location would you prefer IF this change has to be done?Behind the rear license plate or the vertical side of the rear fender?
No way! In the rear center behind the license plate is definately the best place for it. First, it leaves the body panel smooth, second, it doesn't matter what side of the pump you park it on. The other nice thing, is that if you spill a little out of the fuel neck, it'll fall down behind the bumper and not get on any paint or anything.
My first car had the filler on the right, my truck has it on the left..I often find myself parking with the pump to the right. Back when I had my car I used to park with the pump on the left. All sorts of fun. :\
I like mine to be on the driver side. My reason is when I'm at the gas station in a not so safe place or late at night and so on, I like to be as close to the drivers door as possible. I feel a lot safer that way. My CTS is on the passenger side and I feel a little unconfortable sometimes at the gas station being that far away from the drivers door.
Kidding, I am a foster parent for 2 MR clients
It has its tough times, but for the most part I get to do what I want each day and go where I want to go most anytime I want to and best of all it pays very good and is tax free. It gives me a lot of time to work on my race car and gives me the opprutunity to go to what ever races I want to go to.
