For those of you who were truly hung up over the fact the Camaro didn't have a truck bed attached to it, will now be able to enjoy the same 300 BHP 3.6L DI V6 found in the CTS and soon to be Camaro.

----

It was revealed earlier this month that Pontiac’s G8 ST would in fact keep its Sport Truck moniker, and now, thanks to a new report, we have a little bit more information about the Australian-sourced Ute.

When General Motors first announced the G8 ST at this year’s New York Motor Show, it was revealed that the car-based truck would only be available with the G8 GT’s 6.0L V8. But a lot has changed over the past few months – mainly gas prices – which has prompted GM to rethink its ST engine offerings.

According to Edmunds, GM has reversed its V8-only way of thinking and will offer the 2010 Pontiac G8 ST with a V6. However, the V6-powered ST won’t be receiving the same powerplant used in the current base G8 sedan, but rather the direct-injected 3.6L V6 used in the up-level CTS.

Moreover, the DI six is expected to make its way under the hood of the base G8 sedan for the 2010 model year. That means that power should jump from 256 horsepower to at least 300, all while returning improved fuel-economy.

Wow. the 300 horsepower engine would really prove helpful. This may seem weird, but I hope the Saturn Aura Redline gets something like this. I still don't completely like the G8 ST, though. It looks ill-proportioned especially from the front 3/4 view. It would have looked better if it was a Chevy.......or something.:

This and a Firebird would compliment the Camaro well.
