GM today announced pricing for the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon Hybrids, the only full-size, fully capable SUVs whose two-wheel-drive (2WD) models offer the same EPA city fuel economy as a conventional four-cylinder midsize car. ...
It's in the article. A Camry is quite small compared to a Yukon or Tahoe.
"...Hybrid technology that delivers the same city fuel economy as the 2008 Toyota Camry with the base four-cylinder engine. The difference is that the Tahoe and Yukon can seat eight people and can tow up to 6,200 pounds.”
Hey it sounds good and the the wackos will come out of the wood work and slurp that sheit up. GM is just beating the crap out of the import guys with this stuff.
Americans still like Big Cars and Bigger Trucks It's cool as hell that GM can turn out a truck that can gets such good mileage. It just shows where GM is going and when/if the Volt comes out there will be plenty of people eating crow and GM will be heading for the bank.
I've bashed the hell out of GM for screwing the pooch on RWD cars. This hybrid push is the one thing that they are doing a good job at. I'll give them all my support.
