Woooooooo! GM is still in the black! And US sales are still soft because the new models and updated models aren't out yet (except for the silverado..which just friggin rules). Rumor has it they're gonna make the 6spd auto standard in the silverado standard soon, too.

And I agree, sales will pickup when some more new models come out.

Look at Saturn, they're up over 20% from last year, and all their new models aren't even out yet.

I'm kinda sad to see the Ion go..I liked the design. EXCEPT for the stupid instrument panel in the middle of the dash...that was a major brainfart from GM design there.

Another reason besides lack of new models..all of the really cool vehicles (lumina ute) are sold outside of the US!
