General Motors executives told analysts that GM expects to gain $4 billion to $5 billion in savings in 2010 once the impact of the 2007 labor agreement occurs. GM also plans for improved automotive pretax earnings by 2010.

looks like the plan is working. It takes a long time to turn a ship that big.

General Motors executives should tell analysts that GM could turn a bigger profit if they could build cars people want and that's what they are going to do........

GM shouldn't fold up like a lawn chair on RWD so soon. Sell them for the next 8-10 years then build weenie mobiles to meet CAFE standards.

No kidding 10 years is a lifetime in the auto business. Things change so quickly. As long as GM keeps with more vehicles like the malibu, CTS etc I think they will be OK.
