Got this in email this morning from Scott Settlemire:

Ever wish you could own one of the famous Pace Cars from the Indy 500 or the Brickyard 400 or some other NASCAR Venue?

How 'bout a race car?

GM will be selling a group of 'show' pace cars at Barrett-Jackson this month. By "show" we mean they were not the actual pace cars - but they are modified to look just like the real one - and have been used as the photography vehicles.
In addition, there will be a couple of ACTUAL pace cars...

On the block:

Cadillac Northstar LMP -- in 2000, Cadillac returned to International Sports car competition with the Cadillac LMP -- The 2000 Rolex 24 at Daytona marked the first time since 1950 that Cadillac pitted its racing technology against the best that sports car racing has to offer. Vehicle will contain NO Electronics for the engine.

1996 Camaro Z28 Brickyard 400 "Show" Pace Car -- This is the show vehicle version of the 1996 Pace Car -- in 1997 Anniversary trim.

2007 Corvette Daytona 500 "Show" Pace Car

1998 Corvette Convertible Indy 500 "show" pace car

2004 Chevrolet Impala SS IRL Official Car -- Unique Impala SS was developed for use by Indy Racing League officials -- Special badging/decals - and a 3 inch custom Corsa exhaust system.........

1994 Monte Carlo Z34 "Show" Pace Car -- the 1994 Brickyard 400 was, as you will recall -- the Inaugural Brickyard 400 NASCAR race.

2004 SSR Pace Vehicle -- this is one of two SSRs developed for NASCAR pace-car duty in 2004. In addition to 4 NEXTEL Cup stock car races -- this vehicle also paced American LeMans races and several late IRL races --

2005 SSR NASCAR Pace Vehicle # 4 -- this was used to pace several NASCAR events during the 2005 season --

2005 SSR NASCAR Pace Vehicle #3 -- see above

Grand Prix NASCAR Pace Vehicle -- 2003 -- This Grand Prix was used to pace several NASCAR events during the 2003 season.
