Looking for some feedback.
I'm looking around trying to think about thinning the "herd" of cars we have. Right now with 10 vehicles, space is at a premium. The wife's 02 Z28 and my 02 SS are potential candidates. We bought them both new and they're nearly identical in Pewter. Both are garaged with zero rust.
I just don't drive the 02 SS much anymore. So in some regards, I'm trying to justify why I have it. And the wife's been itching for one of those new CTS Sedans anyway, so I'm doing some thinking. Just thinking at this point, and seeing if this is a crazy idea or what. Sometimes when you're in the forest, you can't see the trees. So I'm looking for opinions.
Descriptions:
2002 Z28: 67K miles. Wife's daily driver. Never smoked in, all services done when needed. Well maintained. Never raced or wrecked. Rock stock with exception of bowtie grille from SLP and black painted rear fascia with 35th LE lettering and BMR strut tower brace. Hardtop (no T-top), LS1 Auto, ebony cloth seats, no rips/tears. Cruise, tilt, pw/pl, single CD monsoon, no asr. Has 2.73 limited slip with the wider tire option.
2002 SS #6906 Hardtop (no T-top). 35K miles. Excellent shape throughout. Never raced or wrecked, but obviously has had some spirited street driving since you can't help yourself. But never abused or flogged. LS1 6-speed MN6 w/3.42 factory Hurst shifter. Never smoked in and interior isn't cracked or split, just a few very minor crinkles in the driver's side leather, which is typical. Legal SC tint side windows and rear done by a professional shop. All services done as needed. Always garaged. Pretty much stock from SLP with 345 HP blackwing intake w/CME exhaust, rear numbered personalized mat, and SS floor mats, fobs, dash plate, chrome ZR1s and Bilstein suspension. New Eagle F1s at the 32K mile point. Candy corn taillight swap, as well as chromed CME tips and black painted rear panel with 35th LE lettering. ASR, ebony leather interior, factory 6 disc trunk mount CD changer, fully optioned except for the T-tops. BMR strut tower brace and LCA relocators (bites a lot better). SLP added equipment is full bore Y pipe, and bolt-on frame connectors.
Both have had the entire tops replaced by GM under warranty back in 2004 due to the dreaded glue bubbling TSB. No issues since. The SS had a leaky front seal that was replaced around 11K miles. No issues since.
Pics speak for themselves. Never stranded and never on a lift that wasn't a drive on, so no bottom front fender push outs.
Ok, now that you know the details, I was THINKING on offering up as a pair, for something around $22-23K for both. Based on some research as far as local prices and such, I think that's pretty fair. I'm not needing to sell, I'm simply considering things. Click on the thumbnails below.
Opinions? It's ok to rag, I'm not thin skinned. Just looking for honest opinions.
