New to the forum and just wanted to say hello. Been a life long Camaro-phile and can hardly stand the wait. When it comes out it will be my 6th Camaro, although as of now I have only a K5 Blazer, which I also love. Unfortunately I think she's gonna have to be sold for down payment help.

That's because Arizona rules. We can drive our cars year round, we don't have any natural disasters, and we don't have to worry about rust. Hell, even Jinx has seen the light and is going to become one of us shortly. LOL

Unlike the GTO, I think the Camaro will be affordable to the average person. Aside from the love it or hate it design of the GTO, it was pretty much available in one package, high end V-8. If they'd offered some V-6 options, you probably would have seen more of them.

I agree. I can see both sides, my buddy ran out and bought one as soon as it came out. My other friend waited p/u the next year's for 8k less w/ a 6.0. I liked it but I had to kinda agree w/ my girlfriend who said it best when she said, "Did Charles get a new cavalier?" He was ticked:lol:

And that's hilarious! And also the main reason that I didn't even consider the GTO. I was already tired of the bland blobs of American car designers already. Then throw in the fact that they didn't even design the car here, but in Australia, and slapped a Pontiac front end on it and wasted one of the most famous monikers around. Oh well, at least with the Camaro, they are showing that they learned their lessons!

Thanks again all. And I have to say having been to all states but one (Hawaii, which I'm going to check out this summer), I LOVE the AZ! 6 hours to the ocean, 6 hours to vegas, great off roading, no rust, and it's the only place where you can snow ski and water ski in the same day!:roxor::roxor:

Hello and welcome from TN!

I like the GTO's and am probably going to get one after the Christmas/birthday rush that I have going these last few months of the year. Convinced the wife that we "need" an "our" car instead of "my" Camaro and "her" Excape, then we will have "our" GTO. 6.0 and m6 are my criteria her only criteria is blue so I'll be hunting around Jan for a blue 05 or 06 GTO :roxor:.
