Hello,

I'm from Houston, TX. This will be my first foray into Camaro territory with the New Camaro. Bowtie 'till I die though, as I've owned nothing but Chevy Trucks:D . Car fan in general, though(I also own a couple of antiques). I'm a transfer from Michael Bay's Official forum on the Transformers movie, but have been salivating for the new Camaro since before then;). Looking forward to posting here!!

it can be verified that St. Augustine is the nation's oldest city, while...well you know. :gr_patriot:
And it can be confirmed that we are the largest State per capita, CAN legally shoot someone for for tresspassing on our property, CAN legally succeed from the union, CAN fly the state flag at the SAME height as the country flag.

Need I go on? And everyone knows, Florida is NOT, well YOU know...... :)

 not even close!

approximate area per capita (in square miles per person):

Alaska: 0.9891
Texas: 0.0117

Alaska beats Texas by a factor of over 84!!! :gr_patriot:

...CAN legally shoot someone for for tresspassing on our property...
same here. except we spell it trespassing. :)

...CAN legally succeed from the union...
do you mean secede? I'm sure we'd miss y'all, but...:hello:

...CAN fly the state flag at the SAME height as the country flag...
that's always struck me as wrong, and a slight to Old Glory, but I don't make the rules. ;)

Need I go on? ...
sure. I'm bored. :D

...And everyone knows, Florida is NOT, well YOU know...... :)
if you are referring to the official title "The Sunshine State," well, I would easily concede that could be up for debate, with Texas as a possible contender for sure, but then again I don't determine such things.

Just as an explanation, my original point of contention, if you will, was that you followed my welcome from the nation's oldest city, an undeniable verifiable fact, with a welcome containing subjective opinion, no matter how firmly you may believe it.

Wow, I applaud your fever of which you paid to my silly posts. Good job.

Your still wrong on many accounts.
And, I as not responding to what YOU said, I was just responding in general. Don't be so vain.

You're still wrong on many counts.
I would ask you to show me where I was wrong...if in fact I am, I will admit it.

It is not enough to simply state that someone is in error without demonstrating it. maybe that's the mathematician in me, but I believe in rigor when making statements. :D

look, I'm not trying to get into a pissing match, but don't you think folks from the 49 other "best states" might not really appreciate your welcome?

puhleeze...it was obvious your welcome was fashioned after mine. :rotflmao:

btw, I did a search and confirmed the first time you used that welcome was this thread...immediately following me 80 minutes later, so you can see why I would think my welcome influenced yours. :D
Welcome aboard! I was just in Houston last week! Unfortunately, it was not car related . Oh well, maybe next time.

OK I'll bite.

Alaska is only bigger in size, including NON-liveable area and water. And apples to apples Alaska is not 84 times, that's laughable, larger it is only 2.5, and even then this is TOTAL unliveable area of Alaska compared to Texas which is 100% liveable.

Now if you take out the amount of water that is calculated into both Alaska is barely 2 times as big, but this is still including the NON-liveable areas of Alaska.

I could not find the data on the liveable area of Alaska, but when I do I will post it. Texas is bigger.

And yes, you ot me on a few spelling mistakes.

Whatever.

I am not following the whole Sunshine state thing.

I WAS referring to the fact that Florida is not considered a Southern state, more of a East Coast state. That's all.

Cool your wood and your contentions.

It was all in good fun, but we are still the biggest State no matter how you cut it.

If we did leave a large portion of Countries Energy companies would be here along with a ton of the technology based companies in the country.

You should do some research on just how many F500 companies are in Texas.

I believe the largest entity in Florida is FEMA.

But then again, as you have already proved, I know nothing.

:)
