Well sort of. All the cars that were built on Monday were parked in a specific spot at the plant. I was looking over at them and marvelled about what a beautiful sight it was. Had I known, I would have taken a pic for you.

It would of been good to have pics of your car at the factory. With a little luck there will be a group photo show up.

No doubt- that would be really cool.

Funny part is even if I had gone with Hylton and crew I would NEVER have guessed my car would be there as a day one production so I wouldn't have looked for it anyways...

Pretty cool that your car was built on the first official production day!

TOTALLY ! Best part (so far) is I haven't seen a VIN from PADDOCK which is where I ordered from on Oct 13th and then cancelled when I moved to Basil.

Exciting

I'll bet you'll be getting less sleep these days.
Good for you.

Maybe it's time to tell your salesperson to make sure they have the camera ready when the hauler arrives.
I think we're all anxious to share in your experience (I know I am). :yay::party:

You got that right...

The more the merrier to share in my good fortune. I am doing my best to stay on top of the actual delivery to the dealer; as of today the car still sits in Oshawa waiting to be shipped with all the others. I have "people" in a few places looking out for me to notify me when it hits a truck, railroad car or whatever for shipment to Buffalo. If it is simply coming by car carrier I'll do my best to meet it at whichever international bridge it's crossing around Buffalo and "escort" it in. For those not from the area, there are (3) bridges including the Peace Bridge. The others are the Rainbow Bridge (no commercial traffic) and the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge. Now, if it comes by rail over the International Railroad Bridge it'll be just a weeeeeeeeeee little harder to escort in...

In any case, I told the dealer to call me day or night when he knows on his end the truck is coming and/or sitting at his door. I'm less than 15 minutes away at any given time and I want to be there when it comes off the truck. I'd drive it off if I could but I'm sure I can't; it really won't be officially my car yet at that point.

Anyone who wants to check out the delivery is more than welcome. I'll post here ( or another thread here ) as soon as I know details.

Anywhere a man is driving a Toyota :(

Anywhere someone is driving a Civic Hatchback with a hat turned low.

Anywhere somebody only has 2 lights on the front of their Mustang.

Anywhere they have 4!....:p

Really though? Anywhere between Kenmore, NY and Lowell, MA

9 hour drives are always more fun in a Camaro! This is going to be the best summer ever!

Too bad you couldn't arrange for a factory pickup instead.....would make for a helluva drive and probably a great write-up with pics!
We did everything we could to get into the factory or at least onto the main grounds. Hylton did put a nice gathering together (out front) and Hendrik even came out with his car to show everyone. The plant brought a couple cars out for them to check out too. I was going to go but, as I said, wasn't into the possibility of sitting across the street with binoculars...

Had I known that my car was going to be made while I was there, I'd have been there for sure; jumped the fence or whatever I had to do... know what I mean? Canadian jails probably aren't that bad for a one-night stay.
