Dump a can of fuel system cleaner in it, then after running a few miles, do the fuse pull.
That should straighten you out.

It couldnt hurt to try. Run a couple of tanks of high octane and then pull the fuse over night. I have my camaro since May and just did this about a week ago. Down low I can tell a difference and maybe even up top.

If your car is tuned then you don't need to do the fuse pull. But if you did it then the tune will not be affected. I did it on Sunday and I have a Predator tune.
this is correct.

a tune corrects the need for this mod because usually with a tune your high octane tables and low octane tables are changed to be matching.

i am new to this mod however and will be reading up on it more, would this be the equivalent of resetting fuel trims?

It's not really a problem. It's there to keep you from blowing a hole in a piston running low octane fuel.

I tried this last night and made a big difference. 2012 L99. Just bought it 1 month ago from a used car dealer. Sure they put in reg octane. Pulled fuses last night and let sit all night. Put back in and much smoother start and idle. Also gave me 2-3 more mpg! Great tip.
