Yesterday I stopped at 2 different Shells to gas up and both didn't have premium gas so I fueled up elsewhere. I have a 93 octane tune from Jannetty...so my question is,If no one has 93 octane,do I return to stock tune until I get 93 octane or, do I get a lower octane tune?

don't use Shell gas... it's crap.. .tends to cause a lot of knock retard...

I did a custom tune for a guy about a month ago, he works for shell, and said HE wouldn't even use their gas, heh...

mobil, exxon, sunoco, amoco, bp, chevron are good brands that tend to yield good results...

I've always used Shell V Power 93 oct and never had a problem. Trouble is that fuel is made at different refineries around the country so your staement about a "brand" being good or bad is not always true. I have tried them all over the last 39k miles and had the best proven performace with Shell in TEXAS. Proof is in the fuse pull, when it doen't change the way your car performs then you know that the fuel tables are at their best with that fuel.

+1, never had any problems with Shell. When I was data logging for Ted to get my 93 tune there was minimal KR of 1 or 2 degrees before tuning and it was 91 Cali gas!

My bikes all run best on Shell as well with Chevron a close second...

OP, you can always use some high quality octane booster in the meantime. I have to use it constantly as I run the 93 tune for more performance on my SC and I can only get 91 here in Cali... I use Lucas (10026) primarily tho Torco is very good as well...

If it can handle my boosted application it can surely handle yours....

just because they're on that list means nothing... I have hundreds of data logs from people all over the U.S. that prove it....

and yes JWD - I've had people in the southern states like Texas and Florida, etc, where Shell does appear to be ok down there, doesn't have/cause the knock retard issues like it does just about everywhere else...

but whatever, you guys can use what you want.. was just giving a heads up from the hundreds and hundreds of data logs I've gone through for people when doing custom tunes, I can always tell when they've put in Shell gas, because the KR goes up, increases in occurance, and stays steady... had the same issue with my own car... Me, I wouldn't put Shell in my lawn mower knowing how it is around here...

Shell, Chardon Oil, and Sunoco are the only fuel stations locally to go in my cavalier. It is data logged with HPTuners every race. Chardon Oil used to have the best fuel, but lately Shell does. If HPTuners could figure out why the E39a PCM is not reading...I would data log my Camaro for giggles.
