Wow Hyundai going RWD with V8 option in a car. Never would have thunk it.
I know they have the Tiboron RWD though. This is the first V8 in a Hyundai I think. V6 is 3.8 and V8 is 4.6 trans is 6-Speed Automatic.
they will also have a coupe

Spy Shots: Hyundai Genesis interior

"The Hyundai Genesis is one of many highly anticipated vehicles for calendar year 2008, with high-end features like RWD and powerful V6 and V8 engines at a Hyundai price. One area of intrigue for the Genesis is the production interior, and the folks over at KGP snapped some very clear shots that leave little to the imagination. The most interesting item in the picture looks like the Audi MMI control with navigation buttons around a joy stick. The interface actually looks a bit classier than that of the much pricier German luxury car, and we're hoping it works much more like the Audi interface than iDrive.

The center console looks very Infiniti M45-like, with a chunky appearance and a sloping line with a protruding lip that separates the navigation screen from the rest of the controls. The shift lever has a manual mode, which is almost a forgotten technology in the age of the paddle shifter. The steering wheel is adorned in both leather and a wood-like substance, and it appears to have very simple redundant controls, plus a button for hands-free calling.

The interior wars are heating up much like the wonderful battle for powertrain supremacy, and customers again are the winners. While the Genesis interior may not look as nice as that of the 2008 CTS, try to remember that we're talking about a Hyundai. The folks from South Korea have come a long way in a very short period of time. "

It looks like the Camaro will have a little more to fight off than Dodge and Ford. If you can even call that ******-thing 'competition'.

I don't know if that car would be cosidered Camaro copetition but I am sure that the 2 door version could be. I myself am still not a fan of the car. Would this be considered a pony/muscle car?

Wow..to me that center stack is way too slanted forward and that handbrake is too close to the seat. That also looks too small to be a V8 RWD :O.

As far as 4 door RWD cars goes Ford has a car coming from Ford Australia that I am sure will go up agaist this car and the G8 and the Impala its the Ford Falcon. I think its going to be a bit redesigned though. I think they are going to have a few more RWDs too.

I don't know if they will call it a Falcon though in the US.

I think ford will be using its new RWD architecture for replacements for the Mustang, the Crown Victoria, the Grand Marquis and the Town Car for the US.

And maybe a car based Ford Explorer.

I think the first of the Ford cars would not be until 2012 though.
Edit: I think they have a US version of the Falcon reskining for 2008 in the US.

The tiboron was RWD? I didn't know that, then again, I never gave the imports a second glance anyways. I think this could be troubling for the Big 3, v-6 & v-8 at hyundai prices? Personally, I don't care, if it means paying a little extra for an american car I'll do it just to keep the money an jobs here in the US:gr_patriot:

Here lately it seems American cars are setting the bar IMO.
Its about fuggin time. I like seeing more aussie/american cars coming being the top of the game. I have supported domestic car from the beginning only to be +1ed by people commenting of cheap interior, sloppy handling, low optioned, inefficient, and over priced. Now, Im seeing 400hp cars under 30k, nice interiors, great IRS and suspension, and more options. Hoorah.:gr_patriot:

****, gotta give them props...they have come a long way...
Yes, I look at my mustang's interior and my friends f-bods and then have a look at new pontiacs and mercurys, I have to say its a big difference. Thumbs up to domestics on kicking it up a notch.
Just interior improvement and full CAD designed body makes me want a 5th gen.
