The 2009 Escalade now has a new Gen IV engine the (L9H) Vortec 6.2L Variable Value Timing V8 SFI engine and the (L92) Vortec 6.2L Variable Valve Timing V8 SFI engine has been deleted.

I beleive this engine also has AFM. I believe this engine is also going in Tahoes and Silverados for 2009.

This is a 6.2L truck engine. I could see Camaro getting a car version of this engine as well as the Vette getting this engine to replace the LS3.

How much horsepower/torque will the L9H produce? I know the L92 puts out 380-403hp.

I would love to see AFM in the Camaro, though. A friend of mine has MDS in his Charger R/T and it does seem to help with fuel economy.

I'm confused to whether the AFM is only a option for the hybrid Escalade or for all of them.

I believe the same. Im wildly guessing LS5, its the last LS# that hasnt been touched. With GM fuel economy mindful, I can see the Ls3 getting the L9H treatment.

Makes sense from a speculation point:

REG = AFM

L92 = L9H
L98 = L76
LS3 = LS5
