Seeing how its on a shared Zeta platform technically speaking it should probably be a Zeta however Fbody is the known nomenclature for that style platform so who knows.

Zeta is not Z.
Zeta is actually the greek equivalent of F. ;)

In order, the first six letters of each alphabet....

Roman: A, B, C, D, E, F
Greek: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta

:)

...and on top of that...
They're trying to get a F in the VIN of Camaro as well. :)

They're going to need a way to distinguish all the different forms of Zeta from one another. Camaro Zeta will be different from GTO zeta, which will be different from Impala Zeta.

My guess is that somehow "F" will make it into the Camaro's VIN number where the body designation goes.

Was this GM's intention? I'm very familiar with the Zeta platform and the G8, but this is fascinating stuff, and the first I've heard of it. Are they saying this is a new-generation F-Body? A bit heavier new-gen I would add, but would keep us old F-Body fans smiling. :)
