J.D. Power and Associates recently released their 2008 Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) results. The study measures satisfaction among vehicle owners who visit dealers for maintenance or repair work during the first three years of ownership. The survey includes responses from more than 82,000 owners of 2005-2007 model year vehicles in 17 countries around the globe, including the U.S.
This year, all GM brands outperformed the industry average.
Jaguar topped the list for the second year in a row with a score of 923.
Cadillac came in second, one point behind Jaguar, Buick ranked third, and Lexus and Lincoln rounded out the top five.
Saturn squeezed into the top 10, tying Honda for 10th place.
Chevy, GMC and Saab dealers just missed the top 10 by one point.
Pontiac and HUMMER right behind them.
Chevy, GMC, Saab, and Pontiac were substantially ahead of makes such as Toyota, Mercedes, Audi, Land Rover, Nissan, Scion!
IN FACT: Toyota ranked below all GM brands and the industry average, also below Hyundai and Ford.....
This is the second straight year all GM dealers were above average in this index.
