Let the guy race.
I'd like to see a reality TV show that takes a few people off the street that teaches, tests, and certifies them for Cup racing in a couple shows.
Racing is a money game. If you have enough money you progress through the ranks. Just think of all the guys on local tracks in pieced together bombers. I bet there is tons of talent that won't get past their local tracks. That's because the guys are working regular jobs, supporting a family, and just don't have the cash to jump up into better cars in a more visible racing division that would attract big money sponsors.
