My brother and I are having a debate on what is a better overall system that will have less maintenance but provide more out of the box power.

I say E Force he says Turbonetics

We are both modding our cars to FI at the same time...

Your thoughts, lol this should be good I think ill win

I know Tom Henry here in PA uses Eforce on his Tom Henry dealer-modded cars.

From what I hear, the E-Force supercharger is a smaller entry level style blower. I think it can make good power. But I think they are more for the 550 hp range. A turbo will easily overwhelm the E-Force I think. No parasitic losses and every other advantage that goes along with a turbo.

No parasitic losses and every other advantage that goes along with a turbo.
And some disadvantages:
1. turbo lag! twins are less susceptible but there is always some, especially off the line (I have FHE with this and it was a very high tech sequential system designed to eliminate lag)
1a. increased under hood heat which causes deterioration of other components
2. increased complexity and propensity for failure/maintenance req'd
3. increased engine oil deterioration due to lubrication of the turbo(s) and the temps they operate at
4. turbo reliability - high failure rates (seals leak allowing oil into intake tract) especially as they acquire more miles
5. Most turbo systems I have seen are NOT EPA/CARB approved for those that need to pass smog

I guess you all know where I sit on this one and why I went with a supercharger!
