Hi,

I'm ready to put in an order for a Driveshaft Shop 1 piece CF drive shaft (GMCA10-C) for my 2010 Camaro SS, but I need to line up a shop in the San Francisco area to do the installation. I've had performance work done over the years, but the places I've been don't do driveline stuff. The only recommendation I've found so far is South Bay Driveline in San Jose, but they told me they only install OEM or shop-manufactured drive shafts.

Do any Bay Area Camaro owners have a suggestion? Even though this product doesn't require any extra clearance or adapter plates to install, I don't think dealerships are an option here.

TIA

Synergy Motorsports did mine when I was there for some other stuff...
Sounds like you got special treatment. I told him I also wanted a tune, but this is the response I got from Rick Hollenback:

Right now we do not. We are only doing tuning. Our back log for work is too long that unless it's a project we can't fit the small stuff in. A tune you can schedule when you have the work done and the car is ready

Still looking for someone to do it...

Bummer. But like I said, it was done along with a lot of other work....

Your dealer won't do it? I'm sure mine would. They R&R'd my custom axles when I didn't feel like doing it myself. Let me know and I will ask them for you or you can call them at 707-996-2141. Ask for Dan (owner) and tell him Chuck sent you....

I found one: The Rear End Shop in Santa Rosa, talk to Dan. I'm thinking about also upgrading rear gears to 3.73. I don't plan to ever get serious about drag racing (this is my only car and I commute to SF), so that may be all the driveline work I'll ever have done!

Maybe. But I think I see some axles in your future once you take the slop out of the driveshaft with the CF unit and add the torque multiplication you will get with the gear change. The MT cars are much harder on things with the initial "shock load" that they have vs the smooth engagement of the AT....

Still loving my CF DS!
